The sporting director of Borussia Dortmund admits Jadon Sancho beyond loan
Sancho joined Dortmund on loan from Manchester United this summer after Erik ten Hag was ruled out due to disciplinary issues.
The winger has spoken enthusiastically about a return to Dortmund, with hints that he could make the move permanent in the summer transfer window.
However, Keal admitted there is no realistic chance of seeing the player at Dortmund next season.
Given Sancho’s value, Dortmund admitted they had no chance to negotiate a buy option during loan talks with Manchester United.
Dortmund’s sporting director also admitted that if the winger performs well, Dortmund probably do not have the financial resources to compete for him in the summer.
When asked about the possibility of Sancho returning to Dortmund next season, manager Kehl told Sky Deutschland: “Manchester United paid more than €85 million for the player two and a half years ago, but there was now no way for him to obtain a financially viable option to buy.
” “Salaries will continue.
” Transfer packages are another thing.
” “If the player develops as we expect, a completely different club will be active in the summer.
” , then he will probably belong to the category of players suitable for Dortmund “It will be difficult to buy this size.
” Sancho has a future at Manchester United when he returns in the summer I don’t know yet.
