Rangers have a better chance of getting the £13 million star player because Juventus and the other big clubs in Serie A have ruled out a deal

Published

on

The Rangers target is likely to leave his current club this summer, and there is still a lot of talk back home about where he will go next.

For some, the Bundesliga’s speed and intensity would be perfect. There are teams like Borussia Dortmund that want to replace Marco Reus. And an attacking midfielder with fans at Ibrox could help make up for the loss of one of the biggest names in German football.

For some, Italy’s Serie A is the perfect place to play.

“He has everything he needs to do well in Serie A.” “For myself, I’d like to see him in Italy,” Franco Camozzi, who used to work as a consultant for Spartak Moscow, tells RB Sport.

“I hope this comes true.”

Rangers like sports. of Krasnodar ace Theodore Spertsyan

Sure, Eduard Spertsyan might hope so too.

If you compare the Scottish Premiership to the Italian and German top leagues, moving from the Russian Premier League to the Scottish Premiership seems like taking a step backwards.

It was also told to HITC that the UK government doesn’t like doing business with Russian clubs because of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. This is true even if Rangers were able to convince Spertsyan to stay at Ibrox and meet his £13 million price request.

For example, Chelsea couldn’t get Arsen Zakharyan before he switched clubs from Dinamo Moscow to Real Sociedad. Tottenham Hotspur also had to let Devinson Sanchez go. He had to be sold to Galatasaray instead of Spartak.

We will have to wait and see if the Italian government follows the same path when the real transfer market starts. However, there are rumours that Rafaela Pimenta, Spertsyan’s agent, is in talks with several Serie A clubs. As a result, Italy’s big clubs seem to be eager to throw their hats into the ring.

The teams Juventus and Lazio can’t play

First, it was Daniele Prade, the head coach of Fiorentina.

“Are you interested in Spertsyan? Prade tells Sport24, “This is not true.”

After that, Cristiano Guintoli, the director of Juventus, spoke.

An important person who helped build Napoli’s great 2023 Scudetto-winning team confirmed, “We are not interested in Spertsyan.”

This week, Angelo Fabiani, the manager of Lazio, was also rude.

Febiani told Match TV, “I know that Spertsyan is a great player.” “But I want you to know that we’re not interested in him.”

It looks like the competition to get the box-crashing Armenian international isn’t as fierce as we thought it would be, even though Spertsyan had a great season and was the driving force behind a Krasnodar team that came very close to beating Zenit St. Petersburg for the title.

That doesn’t mean the Rangers are guaranteed to get Spertsyan, though. Juventus and Fiorentina are the only two of Serie A’s top clubs. A summer move to Glasgow is very unlikely because Krasnodar wants £13 million for him and it’s hard to do deals with Russian clubs.

“Sure, he can get a big move to Europe!” This is Edo! Nikola Elich, who used to be the deputy head coach of the Krasnodar academy, tells Sport Express, “He was a little behind the other guys physically, but he knew the game better than everyone else.”

Its player, Spertsyan, is one of the best in Europe.

It might be, but getting into one of the best clubs in Europe is proving to be very hard.

Scottish Premiership season tickets 24/25: A Comparison of Rangers and Celtic Prices to Hearts, Hibs, and Other Teams

Season ticket prices for the forthcoming season have been disclosed by nearly all Scottish Premiership clubs.

Although the Scottish Premiership season has only recently concluded, clubs throughout the nation are already advertising their season ticket prices for 24/25.

Although the European Championships in Germany will be the focus of Europe later this month, the Premier Sports Cup is scheduled to commence in mid-July, just over a month before the start of the new domestic season.

This season is expected to be another captivating one, as Celtic and Rangers will once again compete for the championship, and Dundee United will return to the Scottish Premiership after a one-season absence, replacing Livingston, which was relegated.

In other news, St Mirren, Hearts, and Kilmarnock will be hosting European football after their impressive 23/24 campaigns. Fans are expected to turn out in large numbers once more. However, which team is offering the most affordable adult season ticket in comparison to their competitors in the Scottish Premiership for 24/25?

1. Ross County

11. Rangers

The season ticket pricing for the Ibrox club has not yet been disclosed to the general public. 12. Celtic

Rumours are circulating that Bluenose Scotland’s star player has the potential to assume the role of the treble-winning captain at Ibrox

Rangers supporters may have advocated for change this summer; however, the departures of John Lundstram and Ryan Jack represent an expense.

The Gers supporters desire to inject new energy into the squad, which has been dominated by the same old personalities for an extended period, resulting in the same old results.

Although the more logical members of the Rangers fanbase will express gratitude to the five individuals who have departed the club this summer for their contributions, there are approximately 750 appearances at Ibrox that require plugging.

Rangers are purportedly recruiting a multitude of youthful players from around the world, which may lead one to believe that Philippe Clement and Nils Koppen are underestimating the importance of experience.

However, the reverberating transfer sounds encircling Kenny McLean at Ibrox have been exacerbated by the Rangers manager’s assertion that additional older heads will be necessary this summer.

Could McLean supplant the Rangers’ experience?

It is imperative that we emphasise that there is no concrete evidence regarding Kenny McLean and his affiliation with the Rangers.

The 32-year-old is the subject of much discussion on social media and online forums, and we would appreciate the opportunity to evaluate his qualifications for the Ibrox.

Rangers’ midfield is in dire need of significant renovation, as they have lost the expertise of Ryan Jack and John Lundstram, who has made 53 appearances.

It is also one of the locations of the pitch about which we have heard very little in terms of transfer news.

There are numerous reasons why the rumours surrounding Kenny McLean are intriguing, not the least of which is that he is under contract with Norwich City for an additional two years.

Additionally, the midfielder has an option that could bind him to Carrow Road until 2027.

After signing a new contract with the Canaries before the turn of the year, and undoubtedly on high wages in a Rangers context, a move for the midfielder would be in direct opposition to our restructured player trading efforts.

A high-paying international footballer who is ageing and has no resale value does not precisely scream Nils Koppen.

However, prior to dismissing the possibility of Kenny McLean’s relocation, there are several significant advantages.

“Norwich POTY” for a reason

The former Aberdeen midfielder is a fervent Rangers devotee and a boyhood bluenose who has been frequently associated with Ibrox throughout his career.

McLean was also notoriously released by the Gers academy as a child.

We acknowledge that the conventional wisdom regarding players who “get it” may be outdated.

However, the level of dedication demonstrated by the Parkhead team in the face of adversity is one of the most apparent distinctions between Rangers and Celtic.

We are severely deficient in leadership at Ibrox, and if Kenny McLean was ever going to make a contribution, this may be the moment for him to fulfil the aspirations of every Rangers fan.

Also, it is worth noting that the midfielder is an exceptional player.

McLean, who has recently been named Norwich’s Player of the Year, has made 48 league appearances for the club in the Championship this season and is currently a member of the Scotland squad for Euro 2024.

Some of these positions included that of a temporary defender at the centre of the field.

McLean’s ground duels win percentage is remarkable as Rangers endeavour to enhance the midfield battle with additional bite.

According to the statistics compiled by Twitter statistician @louorns, there is no individual with a higher win percentage in the English Championship when it comes to face-to-face battles.

All of this suggests that McLean is a highly aggressive midfielder, and when combined with his renowned passing range, the Scotland star is a midfielder in the tradition of Barry Ferguson, despite his advancing age.

The ex-Rangers captain, who has won a treble, is perhaps one of the greatest Scottish footballers of his generation and is a difficult act to follow.

However, the arrival of another mobile and aggressive bluenose midfielder who possesses technical class and composure on the ball at Ibrox would undoubtedly evoke memories in the hearts of fans.

We must reiterate that there is currently no official information regarding Kenny McLean’s potential transfer to the Rangers.

However, we are not opposed to the bluenose midfielder’s decision to leave Norwich City after six years and more than 200 appearances, provided that he is truly interested in the move and can arrange a cost-effective transition.

Additionally, Kenny McLean is not the sole Scotland international midfielder who is currently operating in the southern region and may be available this summer.

The explosive Jose Mourinho Rangers scenario, in which Ryan Kent is granted a fresh Fenerbahce debut

Rangers supporters have never had the opportunity to enjoy Jose Mourinho’s company at Ibrox.

Despite managing numerous top-tier teams, the renowned Portuguese manager, 61, has never encountered the renowned Glasgow Rangers.

During Jose’s tenure, Rangers have refrained from playing against FC Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and AS Roma.

However, the Ibrox team may soon encounter Mourinho for the first time if the stars align in the qualification process for the reimagined Champions League.

This occurred subsequent to Jose’s assumption of leadership at Fenerbahce, which precipitated extraordinary events in Istanbul, the capital of Turkey.

Rangers and Mourinho in the Champions League?

Rangers’ spirits have been buoyed by the announcement that they will be seeded for Champions League qualification this summer.

The Gers will remain seeded if they advance to the playoffs, despite entering the competition at the QR3 stage.

The Ibrox team has the potential to meet Jose Mourinho in either round following the legendary manager’s unveiling at Fenerbahce.

Rangers and Fenerbahce both participate in Champions League qualifying at the QR3 stage.

The Turks, who are unseeded, are a potential opponent at this juncture of the tournament, alongside teams such as Dynamo Kiev, Twente, or USG.

In the event that neither team is able to draw the other in QR3 and qualify for the playoff, they may be paired up once more in the Champions League quarterfinal.

At this level, there are no straightforward games, and Fenerbahce has an abundance of experience and talent.

Add Jose Mourinho to the equation, and we are not persuaded that Rangers fans will be overly enthusiastic about their inaugural encounter.

Kent provided Fenerbahce with a lifeline.

The appointment of Jose Mourinho also provides an unlikely reprieve to ex-Rangers winger Ryan Kent.

Kent, 27, relocated to Istanbul at the conclusion of his Ibrox contract last summer. However, he was ultimately excluded from the team under Ismail Kartal.

All the talk leading into the summer has been about Kent being released from his Fenerbahce contract, despite the fact that he only made one league appearance for the Super Lig runners-up in 2024.

The winger receives an opportune lifeline and may even quell some desperate rumors regarding a potential return to Rangers with Mourinho’s appointment.

Kent spent five years in Glasgow after initially joining on loan from Liverpool. However, in his final campaign with the Gers, he only scored three goals, which was a disappointing performance.

The winger’s career has been in a steady decline since that time, and it is our desire that Mourinho can assist Kenty in regaining his form in Turkish football.

Who is the most highly compensated player for the Rangers? Cantwell, Tavernier, and Goldson comprise the top 15 wealthiest Ibrox players in 2024

From James Tavernier to Todd Cantwell, these are the top 15 highest-paid Rangers players.

Rangers’ season-ending performance in the Scottish Premiership was yet another disappointment, as they were unable to surpass their Old Firm rivals Celtic in the title race.

Phillipe Clement’s team appeared to have the potential to take the title back from Celtic in early 2024; however, they ultimately finished the season eight points behind their closest competitors. The Gers were dealt another blow to the heart by a last-minute Scottish Cup loss to the Hoops, and a summer rebuild is imminent at Ibrox.

The club has already confirmed the departures of high-earning players John Lundstram, Kemar Roofe, and Borna Barisic, with additional players potentially joining them as Belgian manager Clement develops a new look for the 2024/2025 season.

Where 14 Rangers and Celtic wonderkids are now after Glasgow dealt for Aston Villa, non-league, and Liverpool

Rangers and Celtic have produced wonderkids throughout the country, from Aston Villa to current champions in the non-league.

Rangers and Celtic are enthusiastic about incorporating indigenous players into their rosters in order to cultivate talent.

Nevertheless, this has become more challenging in recent seasons as Europe’s largest clubs attempt to acquire promising talent at a lower age. Ben Doak, a Scotland call-up, left Celtic for Liverpool before his 18th birthday, having only made two first-team appearances at Celtic Park. Billy Gilmour was signed by Chelsea in 2017, before he had even made an appearance for the Rangers first team.

On reflection, the following is a list of 14 Celtic and Rangers wonderkids from the past, along with their current status:

1. Forward, Rory Wilson

Presently, he is affiliated with Aston Villa. He rapidly advanced through the junior ranks and was the most recent high-profile player to depart Ibrox as he continues to challenge himself in the south. During Steven Gerrard’s tenure, the adolescent striker relocated to Aston Villa for a reduced fee. He anticipates that his development will enable him to make a significant impact in the first team within the next few years. I am unable to cease scoring for the club’s Under-18 team.Craig Foy – SNS Group / SFA

2. Ben Doak – Winger

Liverpool, the individual’s present club, is The former Hoops prodigy has been predicted to have a significant future and was recently referred to as a “special boy” by Reds manager Jurgen Klopp. Became the second athlete to appear in the first week of a Premier League season before turning 18 after Michael Owen. Since his debut, the direct and brisk wide receiver has undoubtedly improved.

3. Dapo Mebude – Forward

Current club: KV Oostende (Belgium) During Gerrard’s tenure, he arrived in Govan and made his senior debut against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. After declining a three-year contract, he was loaned to Queen of the South and subsequently transferred to Watford on a free transfer. Displayed glimpses of his quality while on loan at AFC Wimbledon, but was unable to make a first-team breakthrough. The youngster is currently in Belgium, but the season has been disrupted by a severe automobile accident. Fortunately, they are making progress in their recovery.

4. Liam Hughes – Goalkeeper

FC Haka – Despite Celtic’s efforts to persuade the Northern Ireland Under/21 goalkeeper to remain at Lennoxtown, he ultimately chose to join Liverpool, despite his awareness that it was improbable that he would be able to make the first team. He was sufficiently impressed to surpass the role of “training keeper” in which he was initially recruited and to acquire top-tier experience by spending a season on loan at Stalybridge Celtic in the Northern Premier League. The Reds released it during the summer, and it is currently in Finland.

5. Billy Gilmour – Midfielder

Brighton & Hove Albion is the current franchise. A remarkable success story that eluded the Rangers. Refused to sign a professional contract at Ibrox in favor of relocating to London. Under Frank Lampard, he was the star of Chelsea’s first squad. However, he was loaned out to Norwich City after falling out of favor with Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge. Since then, he has emerged as a critical member of Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad and is currently at the Amex Stadium, where he is making up for lost time following a sluggish start.

6. Armstrong Oko-Flex – Winger

Currently, I am a member of FC Zurich in Switzerland. The young Republic of Ireland player unexpectedly returned to London by joining West Ham last summer, after having previously relocated to the north to join Celtic from Arsenal in 2018. A consistent fixture for the club’s Under-23 team in the Premier League 2. Before departing for the Swiss Super League on a two-year contract this summer, he was loaned to Swansea City. In the Swiss Cup, he scored on his Zurich debut.

7. Nathan Patterson – Right-back

Presently, Everton is his club. Rangers accepted a £12 million bid from the Goodison Park club, which was subsequently increased to £16 million, before he made only a smattering of first-team appearances. Initially, he encountered injury complications while attempting to unseat club legend Seamus Coleman from the team. However, he has since demonstrated his value by delivering several exceptional performances when afforded the opportunity. The primary concern appears to be maintaining one’s physical fitness and avoiding injuries.

8. Karamoko Dembele – Winger

Current club: Blackpool (on loan) At the age of 13, he made his debut with Celtic’s Under-20 team. Due to his diminutive stature and exceptional dribbling skills, he was once compared to Lionel Messi. At the youth level, he represented Scotland and England and became a ubiquitous name. Although significant accomplishments were anticipated, the transition from the Hoops has not been without its challenges. He sought a new challenge and signed a four-year contract with Ligue 1 team Stade Brest. However, he was unable to score or provide an assist during the Breakout season at Blackpool.

9. Josh Adam, a midfielder

Manchester City is his present club. After delivering numerous remarkable performances in the Under-18 Premier League, he may be the next in a line of promising Manchester City players to make his debut in the first team. In 25 appearances last term, he tallied eight goals and provided 11 assists. I am eager to acquire knowledge from individuals such as Kevin de Bruyne and his colleagues in the future.Photographer: Nick Taylor/Liverpool FC

10. Kai Kennedy – Winger

York City serves as the present franchise. Rangers released the 21-year-old earlier this summer after he made only one senior appearance, despite his initial interest from some of Europe’s most prominent clubs. After “losing his way,” he is currently playing in the Vanarama National League. He had a successful loan tenure with Falkirk in SPFL League One last season, scoring nine goals in 29 appearances. At one point, it appeared that he was on his way to America. Sporadically represented in the National League.

11. Nathan Young-Coombes – Forward

Brentford, a current franchise, In 2019, he relocated from Chelsea to Ibrox, where his arrest was perceived as a triumph. After being impressed by numerous junior teams, he became dissatisfied with the absence of first-team opportunities and is currently a consistent member of the Bees’ B-team. Is highly regarded by manager Thomas Frank and has been granted a sample of the Premier League.

12. Liam Morrison – Center-back

Current club: Wigan Athletic (on loan) – A future Scotland international and current Under-21 captain, who began his career in Rangers’ development system before moving across the city to Celtic. At the age of 16, he was training with the first-team squad when the Bundesliga heavyweights offered him his first professional contract. Two years ago, he was promoted to the B-team squad and was recognized as one of the “60 best young talents in the world” in 2020. Has returned to the United Kingdom for a temporary stint with the Liverpool FC.Image: SNS Group/Ross MacDonald

13. Adedire Mebude – Forward

Currently, he is on loan from KVC Westerlo (Belgium) to Bristol City. He similarly declined a professional contract with Rangers to join Manchester City at the age of 16, as his brother Dapo did.He has since demonstrated exceptional performance as a member of their academy system and has a promising future. As a member of City’s Under-18 Premier League-winning team last season, he was awarded the Players’ Player of the Year award. During that time, he scored 12 goals and recorded 17 assists. In the January window, he was granted a loan to Bristol City.

14. Owen Moffat – Winger

Currently, he is on loan at Dunfermline. Since the age of seven, Moffat has been a member of the Hoops academy. In 2019, he signed his first professional contract with the club and became a hero for the B-team in the Lowland League. In December 2021, he made his first senior league debut against St Mirren under Ange Postecoglou. However, he found opportunities to develop limited and joined Blackpool to join their development squad. After being loaned to Championship team Dunfermline in order to obtain first-team experience, he has returned to Scotland after signing a three-year contract with the option of an additional year.Photo credit: Craig Foy – SNS Group

Kenny Dalglish calls out the ‘awful’ Rangers cliché while mentioning Philippe Clement’s £40 million issue

As the Light Blues attempt to unseat Celtic, the Belgian manager will have a significant player turnover this summer.

Rangers’ “totally unacceptable” record versus Celtic over the previous three years has been criticized by Kenny Dalglish, who also cautioned that despite the Hoops’ assurance of Champions League football, things won’t get any easier.

The agony for Rangers supporters continued last season as Philippe Clement went winless against the Hoops, including in the Scottish Cup final, and has yet to secure a victory over Celtic since taking over at Ibrox. And with just two victories over their opponents over the previous three seasons, the Light Blues’ record doesn’t get any better for Ibrox aficionados.

Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic team was defeated 1-0 by Steven Gerrard’s Rangers in August 2021, handing the Australian loser of his first Old Firm derby. Michael Beale would win his first Old Firm match in May 2023, defeating Celtic 3-0, on his sixth try, however Celtic had already been declared Scottish Premiership title at that point.

Dalglish also says that Rangers’ record is “not good enough,” but he believes the team might not be able to afford to catch up to their rivals because Celtic is guaranteed a £40 million prize from the group stage, while Clement has to get through the playoffs. Dalglish wrote the following in his Sunday Post article: “Brendan Rodgers and his team were deserving winners. They produced the goods when it counted.

“They drew with Rangers once and defeated them four times. It was an excellent recording. Conversely, Rangers must figure out how to defeat their fiercest opponents. They believe that their performance in Old Firm games over the previous three years has been completely unacceptable. Yes, they can mention that a single goal decided all of their losses. In the Scottish Cup final last week, they also had Celtic pinned back for stretches and performed admirably at times.

“But given the size of the club and its success rate, since when was that enough or appropriate? Now it is up to Philippe Clement to figure out a solution. He also needs to finish it right now. More losses are not acceptable.

“There won’t be a bottomless hole, but we’ll have to wait and see what type of budget he has to work with. The sooner players are admitted, the better. They must bring in some quality players and make more of an effort from the current bunch, especially from those who will still be there at the beginning of August.

“What a boost it would be if they could secure the £40 million riches from that, especially since that is the month their Champions League qualifiers start.” Although it is a significant request, completing the two rounds is not impossible.

“It is much evident now that people in the city are certain about what they can do in the transfer market. It will be lot more comforting for Brendan and the hierarchy to know what they have to deal with.

“A situation like occurred with Jota last summer, in which a bid from Saudi Arabia appeared out of the blue and he left for a figure of £25 million, might still occur. However, it appears that Celtic are well-positioned to respond to any eventuality, even a big offer for Matt O’Riley.”
