Official injury report for Kentucky vs. Alabama basketball
TUSCALOOSA, AL The Southeastern Conference had a rule in place prior to this season that required baseball, basketball, and football teams to submit mandatory injury reports before every conference game.
It is only necessary for conference games, though. Nevertheless, on Friday at 11 a.m. CT, No. 4 Alabama men’s basketball will travel to play No. 8 Kentucky in their fourth and SEC game of the regular season.
Players are marked as “probable,” “questionable,” “doubtful,” or “out” on the injury report for the first post. Players will then be labeled as “available,” “game time decision,” or “out” for the forthcoming game on game day to further clarify matters. Throughout the week before the game, this story will be updated.

Initial Availability Report for Alabama: Friday, January 17 Latrell Wrightsell Jr. –– Out Derrion Reid –– Out Houston Mallette –– Doubtful Initial Availability Report for Kentucky: Friday, January 17 Lamont Butler is out, and Kerr Kriisa is questionable. Andrew Carr: Most likely During Friday’s press conference, Oats discussed Reid’s lower-body ailment before the initial availability report.
The words “He’s recovering,” Oats said. “He is doubtful for tomorrow because he didn’t play five-on-five today. Let’s see. Hopefully he will be able to go next week if not tomorrow. He’s progressing, based on what [Alabama athletic trainer] Clarke Holter is telling me. I simply don’t know if that will happen tomorrow or not.
In their most awful offensive showing in a long time, Alabama lost 74-64 against Ole Miss, the Crimson Tide’s most recent game, which Reid missed. Mallette was not in the starting lineup against Texas A&M, but he also missed the Ole Miss game. Oats’ announcement that he would be absent for a while was expected on Friday. “When Houston arrived, he was suffering from two severe knee problems. Before the Ole Miss game, Oats stated, “He’s made a ton of progress on them since he’s gotten here, but they still need to be evaluated.” “We’re gonna actually keep him out.” Wrightsell will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his Achilles during the Players Era Festival Championship match against Oregon.
