Man United just glimpsed $93m transfer problem Liverpool cleverly avoided and Gary Neville knows

For the second consecutive January, Manchester United have been somewhat limited in the transfer market.
Wout Weghorst was the answer last season, but several more left-wing names are back in the spotlight.
It is unclear how this fits into Newcastle’s grand FFP theory, but the club’s fans believe the profit and sustainability rules are uniquely worded to open the drawbridge to clubs outside the big six.
It seems like it is.

But while it’s true that Liverpool have no problem with the rules and are responsible with money, it’s clear that Manchester United are holding them back.

And just like Newcastle, Erik ten Hag’s team have only themselves to blame.
It’s no big secret why these restrictions are so strict.

Manchester United have spent a lot of money in recent transfer windows, with minimal sales to compensate.

Read more: Liverpool made a bid for Moises Caicedo, which is why I think Jurgen Klopp could offer a lot in terms of a transfer, but the new contract was a mess.

Until this season, Anthony had appeared in 16 Premier League games and not registered a goal or an assist.
There are question marks about Andre Onana.

Mason Mount had little to offer and Rasmus Hjølund wasn’t much better.

So Ten Hag had the worst hit rate in the transfer market.

But nothing was as bad as the contract signed before he arrived at Old Trafford.

Jadon Sancho has arrived with excitement in the summer of 2021.

Like most of Europe’s big clubs, Liverpool were also interested, but Manchester United won the race to sign him.
This reduced Borussia Dortmund’s original asking price to a somewhat reasonable-looking $93m (£73m/€85m).
However, rumors that Manchester United could acquire the deal quickly died down.

Sancho got off to a slow start, scoring just six goals in his first season in the Premier League.
Despite having nine players in the squad for the 2022/23 season, Ten Hag had yet to reach its full potential.
Gary Neville was one of those who initially supported Sancho.

He claimed he was to blame for the club’s overall downturn in 2021.
“He comes here and probably thinks, ‘What the hell am I doing here?
What is this?

There’s no organization, no structure,'” Neville told MEN.

“If you look at Manchester United’s defensive performance, he is the only player.

” According to the statistics, it is by far the best.

I think he’s fifth or sixth and he’s really making a shift.

” However, Ten Hag’s team qualified for the Champions League last season, putting an end to that excuse.
It looked like it.

However, hopes of Sancho’s further development were suddenly dashed when an argument over Sancho’s efforts on the training pitch spiraled out of control and the manager removed him from the first-team squad completely.
