Mark Wilson admits what’s really shocked him about Celtic’s deal for Adam Idah with Norwich City

With Norwich City’s decision to sell the striker this week, it appears that the drama of Adam Idah to Celtic is now finished.

Following Idah’s outstanding loan period in the latter half of the previous season, Celtic has agreed to pay The Canaries ?9.5 million for the Republic of Ireland striker.

Idah is a good addition for Celtic, but Ally McCoist feels the team overpaid for the 23-year-old. Chris Sutton believes the fee was a decent deal for all parties. The fee has generated a lot of disagreement among experts.

Mark Wilson is the next to weigh in on the agreement, revealing what about Celtic’s trade to bring Adam Idah to Paradise truly shocked him.

Rodgers gave Adam Idah his all.
Wilson feels that the Celtic board made the right decision in supporting Brendan Rodgers in the Idah trade, but the former defender for the club seems to imply that the Irishman may have cost too much.

Wilson stated, “It’s more than I ever thought it was going to be,” [Press & Journal print edition, page 49].

However, the 23-year-old striker is an international who has goals for Celtic. Both clubs have done well, in my opinion.

“Celtic has a player who has scored goals for them, and Norwich have done well for a player who wasn’t in their main squad.

“I’m pretty sure that when Brendan agreed to be back at the club, that would have been one of his main rules?that players he wanted and went all out for, he got.” Brendan Rodgers clearly wanted this player back.

What’s most important regarding the Adam Idah Celtics transaction
Look, Celtic will have to pay a hefty price for Idah. After Odsonne Edouard, the Irishman will be Celtic’s most expensive acquisition ever if deal ultimately goes through.

But in my opinion, the Celtics supporters shouldn’t be concentrating on the cost in this case. Online rumours circulated among certain fans expressing their willingness to forgive Aaron Rodgers for walking if he is unable to get the players he needs to bolster the squad.

The management of Celtic has never concealed his desire to have Idah join the team on a long-term basis. In a public statement, Rodgers expressed his feelings about the striker to the Celtic board.

The Celtic board paid attention, and they have already reached an agreement with Norwich to acquire their manager as their main summer target.
