Celtic FC
Mark Guidi discusses his knowledge of Celtic’s pursuit of Bobb of Liverpool.
For Celtic, Bobby Clark? It’s obvious that young Clark would be considered a squad player at his age rather than someone who can have a big impact on the starting lineup.
Though Clark is typically thought of as a central midfielder, the Liverpool youth has also been used in attacking and defensive midfield roles, as well as on the attacking flanks. Clark is incredibly adaptable. As Guidi notes, Clark is contracted through 2028. If Celtic wanted him on a long-term basis, they would have to pay a price they could not afford. Furthermore, given the level of competition in that part of the pitch, Brendan Rodgers may have trouble finding a spot to play him if a loan deal is arranged.
